Naomi Baster, Principal City Planner, TfL
Naomi Baster is a Principal City Planner at Transport for London.
Following six years experience in road safety policy at TfL, which included developing London’s Vision Zero approach, Naomi currently works in the Active Travel and Health team, which is responsible for enabling more people to walk, cycle and use public transport by putting people and their health at the heart of decision making.
Presentation: Older people and the Mayor’s vision for transport in London
This presentation will outline how the requirements of older people are taken into consideration by the Mayor’s Transport Strategy, including the Healthy Streets Approach and Vision Zero.
It will briefly outline the context in terms of how older people get around in London and the issues they face. Interventions that are being delivered to London’s transport system to support the health and well-being of older people will be explored, with a particular focus on active, sustainable and efficient modes.
